Fixing the home location for Hulu Live TV
If you experienced an issue with Hulu Live TV yesterday or today, then try doing this, and in the following order:
1. Log out of Hulu on your Apple TV or Fire TV.
2. Set the DNS to 220.127.116.11 (using this DNS server is important!)
3. Restart your Apple TV.
4. Log in to Hulu.
5. Confirm the new location.
6. Start streaming Hulu Live TV or a TV show..
This worked for us when we were testing this. You need to repeat this for your Mac/Windows computer as well if you watch Hulu Live TV on it.
Having said all this, we would like to note that this is not an indefinite solution. At some point in the future we will need to switch servers for Hulu, and then the same thing is bound to happen.
For that reason we highly recommend downgrading to Hulu with or without commercials ($7.99 or $11.99/month) and use a different service, like Sling TV, for live TV (Sling also has some on-demand content, and offers plans from $20/month). You could actually wind up paying less for these two services than for Hulu with Live TV alone! You also get the added benefit of having more simultanenous users at the same time for these services.
